The scientific research activity is focused on assessment of the extracellular matrix components (ECM) metabolism and free radical and antioxidant activity during physiological conditions and selected pathologies including connective tissue diseases, diabetes type 2, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. Additional research is related with the assessment of the influence of propolis ointment, based on natural honeybee products, on the ECM components during tissue repair process in experimental burn wounds healing.
