Professor Jerzy Stojko – specialist in the field of pharmacoepidemiology, toxicology, hygiene, psychoactive substances, genetically modified animals in biotechnology, api-pharmacotherapy and api-toxin-therapy.
The main scientific area of interests of professor Jerzy Stojko concern:– the toxicological chemical purity of dietary supplements and herbal raw materials; – the toxicological assessment of the effects of standardized bee product extracts in terms of safety of their use; – assessment of biologically active fractions isolated from selected bee products and its use in the prevention and therapy of various pathological conditions under conditions "In vitro" and "in vivo"; – multidirectional experimental and implementation studies performed in model experimental tests on living organisms; – epidemiological studies on the occurrence of neoplasms in relation to disease risk factors.
