Assoc. Prof. Robert Wojtyczka

Assoc. Prof. Robert Wojtyczka scientific activity focuses – including Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex molecular diagnostics and drug resistance estimation as well as role of drug-resistant strains in the pathogenesis of nosocomial infections – on the verification of the usefulness of substances of natural origin, especially propolis, in the assessment of antimicrobial activity.
In numerous works by Assoc. Prof. Robert Wojtyczka assessed the antibacterial activity of various propolis containing dosage forms in relation to microorganisms isolated from clinical and environmental materials, in particular from burn wounds as well as among others to strains of coagulase negative staphylococci responsible for biofilm forming.
